Lesley Kay, Senior Lecturer in Midwifery, Anglia Ruskin University

Lesley has worked as an academic at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge since January 2009 and was recently promoted to a Senior Lecturer post. In October 2010 she started a PhD at the University of Central Lancashire under the supervision of Professor Soo Downe. Alongside my lecturer role Lesley sits on the NMC Fitness to Practice Panel as member of the ‘Conduct and Competence’ panel. Prior to working in education she worked as a Midwifery Team Leader in a Community Based team in the Cambridgeshire area. Lesley completed a Master of Studies degree at the University of Cambridge in 2007.She qualified as a midwife in 2000 after completing a direct entry midwifery programme.
