Kim Tyler, Community Midwife, Medway NHS Foundation Trust

Kim Tyler only trained as a nurse in 1998 when her 4 children were all of school age and qualified as a midwife in 2003. She spent 2 years gaining confidence in hospial before gaining a post as community midwife in 2005. Together with Kathy Tadman, Kim helped to develop the Earlybird system of booking. Her other big achievement has been the setting up of a pregnancy information evening which is now in it’s third year and growing all the time.
