Professor Sir Drummond Bone
Drummond Bone was Vice-Chancellor of the University of Liverpool from 2002-8, and President of Universities UK from 2005-7. Previously he was Principal of Royal Holloway, University of London, and Senior Vice-Principal at the University of Glasgow. He is currently chairman of the i-graduate group, and a senior advisor to Laureate International Universities. He is also on the editorial board of the THE, and is a consultant to various educational interests, including the British Council. He has in the past been heavily involved in links between Universities and business, for example with the CBI and as chair of the Innovation and Industry strategy group of the Northern Way. He wrote a government commissioned report on the Internationalization of UK HE over the next ten years at the close of 2008. He keeps up his academic work in formal studies of the literature of English Romanticism.
