Dr Mary Baginsky, Assistant Director, Social Work, CWDC
Dr Mary Baginsky has worked as a researcher in many settings across the academic, local and national government, independent, voluntary and commercial sectors. While in the research team at NSPCC she developed a programme of work on the role of education in protecting and safeguarding children. She has had various secondments into the then DfEE and then DCSF, most recently to conduct the research which informed the Social Work Task Force. She is currently a member of various Social Work Reform Board sub-groups. Since 2007 she has been at CWDC, first as Head of Research, Evaluation and Data and now as one of the Assistant Directors. She has published widely and has worked in collaboration with researchers in Europe and the USA.
