Joan Young, Head of Recruitment & Assessment, Penna Resourcing
With over 20 years’ experience managing complex recruitment and assessment projects, Joan has acquired an outstanding insight into the resourcing needs of organisations across both the public and private sectors. Part of the senior Penna team following the acquisition of the Barkers Group, Joan was previously a leading resourcing practitioner with Park Human Resources (part of SHL) and PA Consulting Group. Combining a rare mix of skills encompassing both talent attraction and talent selection, Joan now manages a diverse team of CIPD-qualified Resourcing professionals and Occupational Psychologists. BPS level A & B qualified, she has a particular understanding of volume recruitment and the delivery of major projects for multiple specialist roles. Joan was the senior lead on the project that Penna delivered on behalf of CWDC for the Step up to Social Work Programme.
Joan is an Independent Panel Member for the Adoption Panel for Trafford Social Services in Manchester.
