Dr Dave Burnapp
Dr Burnapp has worked in education and development in Vanuatu, Zambia, Algeria, and China. Currently at Northampton Business School, he researches and publishes on topics relating to the internationalisation of Higher Education. His work received national recognition when he was appointed a National Teaching Fellow, and he is currently involved in several projects concerning international collaborations funded by the Higher Education Academy and PMI2.
He is a Project Champion of the HEA Teaching International Students Project, and a Visiting Fellow at CAPRI (the Centre for Academic Practice and Research on Internationalisation) at Leeds Metropolitan University. He runs a distance-learning Postgraduate Certificate course ‘Enhancing the International Student Experience’ for the continuing professional development of all university staff, both academics and in student support, which has participants from institutions across the UK. He recently published a Study Skills textbook ‘Getting Ahead as an International Student’ with McGraw Hill.
