Nick Fragel, Director of Alumni and Development, Lancaster University

Nick Fragel is Director of Alumni and Development at Lancaster University and has worked in fundraising and graduate relations for over 13 years. Among his responsibilities are planning and executing Lancaster’s first multi-million pound fundraising campaign, which will go live in the autumn of 2011, and increasing overseas development activity, both with Lancaster Alumni and the University’s academic partners in India, Malaysia, China and Pakistan. A graduate of Oxford University, Nick spent seven years fundraising for two Oxford colleges, including five years as Development Director of St Anne’s College, where he introduced an early programme to engage parents. Prior to his career in fundraising Nick was an officer in the RAF, specialising in Press & Public Relations.
Externally, Nick is serving as Chairman of the 1994 Group Development Directors’ Forum for 2011.
