Dr Sarah Peers, Senior Executive, New Engineering Foundation

Dr Sarah Peers runs NEF’s Industrial Fellowship Scheme (the largest industrial secondment scheme in the UK) and other professional development programmes nationally and supports colleges with cross curriculum STEM development. She is a Mathematics graduate from University College London, with Masters from Kings College London and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UCL. Sarah comes with a combined educational HE and FE experience gained at University College London and Carlisle College, teaching artificial intelligence and mathematics to engineering students. She also worked in Technology Transfer nationally and internationally and worked with teams leading in research projects for the offshore oil & gas industry, including intelligent planning and scheduling of inspection and maintenance of offshore structures, manufacturing planning and supply chain management. Her personal interests include supporting women in STEM. Sarah is a bilingual native speaker of English and Spanish.
