Jean is Chief Executive of St Basils in Birmingham. St Basils was one of the Housing Corporation Gold winners for tackling homelessness in 2006 and
Centre of Excellence in the National Youth Homelessness Scheme 2007-2009. She is the Third sector Assembly Housing Champion in Birmingham, and is a member of the City Housing Partnership Board and Urban Living Housing Pathfinder Board. She is Chair of the West Midlands cross sector
Homelessness Forum and contributes to the Annual Fire Conference and Exhibiton 2011 – The future of fire 15 Ministerial Advisory Group on homelessness through DCLG’s partner group. In December 2006, she was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of
Birmingham.
