Maryam Kennedy

Maryam leads Ernst & Young’s International Development and Government Sector Investigation team. She has led bribery and corruption, accounting manipulation and regulatory investigations in the former Soviet Republics, Africa, Middle East, Latin America and Europe.
Using over twelve years’ experience of investigating poor governance and corruption in both the public and private sector, Maryam also advises government sector clients on design and implementation of anti-corruption programs to improve effectiveness of public expenditure. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Maryam was the head of Internal Audit and Investigations for Macmillan Cancer Support, a donor-funded NGO which provides financial and medical support for cancer patients across the UK. In that role, she reported directly to the board of trustees on the effectiveness of the organisation's safeguards and controls in relation to donor funds.
