ACC Janette McCormick
Janette is responsible for neighbourhood policing, volunteers, uniformed operations, operational and emergency planning, partnerships and communications.
She is currently the national ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) lead for Gypsy and Travellers. She has been in the police for 21 years policing, previously in Greater Manchester Police, where she gained a wide experience of operational policing working with diverse communities and voluntary groups.
She has experience of policing complex and entrenched issues including gangs and gun crime. She was responsible for the initial development of Neighbourhood Policing in Manchester and is a strong believer of working with communities to resolve issues, building trust and breaking down barriers that create isolation.
