David Strudley
David was commissioned into the Army in 1968 and served in the Far East, Germany, Canada and Northern Ireland, leaving as a Brigadier in 1997. Since leaving, has worked in education, the police and the children’s hospice movement, most recently since November 2006 as Chief Executive of Acorns, the pinnacle of a very rewarding career, leading this vital West Midlands charity into an exciting and challenging future.
He has an MA in Business Studies at Leeds University in 2002 to 2005 and OU MBA in 1999. Certificate Coaching and Mentoring for leadership development with the Tavistock Institute.
He is an associate lecturer with the Open University MBA Programme, Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and Fellow of the RSA. His other appointments include Trustee, the Milibern Trust and Cancer Care Foundation.
