Peter Allen has been Marketing Director at the University of Derby since November 2005 and has overseen the creation of the Marketing Department and a rebranding exercise which has brought a massive increase in open day attendance and a 64% rise in applications in the last two years. Peter recently led the positioning exercise for Derby to inform the proposal on fees. Peter has also worked in marketing and communications roles at Aston University, the University of Leicester and The Samaritans as well as being Agency Director at Euro RSCG Riley Nottingham for four years. Derby’s Marketing Department are currently shortlisted for a Times Higher award and three Heist Awards.
