Operational Service Planning Manager, Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE).

Paul began his career in the bus industry with National Bus Company as a senior management trainee in Maidstone. After short spells in Norwich and Barnsley he wound up at West Yorkshire PTE for 16 years in various roles including preparing the viable networks for deregulation, subsequent tender management and latterly as schools transport officer for the county.

A spell of seven years followed at Stoke-on-Trent City Council as Passenger Transport Manager, leading the authority through unitary status with a severely challenging budget, but the lure of the PTEs was too strong and he now works for GMPTE spending a mere £27m annually on subsidised bus services for a population of 2.6m.
