Heather Roythorne-Finch
Heather Roythorne – Finch started her career developing the Suicide Awareness Partnership Training programme for the Rural Community Council Leicestershire and Rutland. She spent 2 years with the Scout Association delivering a range of volunteering, group support and membership promotion initiatives.
In 2007 Heather joined Voluntary Action LeicesterShire (VAL) where she worked with disadvantaged neighbourhoods delivering Planning For Real consultations and community development projects.
As the Health and Social Care lead in VAL Policy Team Heather leads on the voluntary sectors engagement with the changes in health care.
She established the VCS Adult Health and Social Care Forum creating the recognised route for emerging Health and Wellbeing Boards to engage with VCS and draws participants from across PCT’s, Local Authorities, Public Health and GP Consortia.
Heather is a volunteer fundraiser for the Lymphoma Association a specialist charity that provides information and support to lymphatic cancer patients, their families, friends and carers.
