Professor Michael Driscoll
was appointed Vice-Chancellor of Middlesex University in 1996. He was appointed as Dean of Middlesex University Business School in 1991, Pro Vice-Chancellor in 1993 and Deputy Vice-Chancellor in 1995. In connection with his role as Vice-Chancellor, Professor Driscoll has served on the Board of Universities UK, he chaired the Universities UK Strategy Group on Sustainable Development, has been a member of the IT Strategy Group, a member of the Longer Term Strategy Group and is currently the member of a working party on the future growth of UK higher education. He has Chaired CMU (now Million+), a group of over 30 universities that promote widening access into higher education. He has been a member of the London Higher Steering Committee which represents all of the 41 HEIs in London and Chaired the National Higher and Further Education 2012 Steering Group.
