Dr Joanne Medhurst was appointed Joint Managing Director and Medical Director in March 2011. As well as overseeing the day-today running of the organisation, Joanne’s specific areas of responsibility include; clinical redesign, governance, safeguarding, medicines management, commissioning and the GP leadership scheme.

Joanne is also a local GP – working in Bexley for nearly 15 years, having trained at Guy’s Hospital. She carried out her GP training in Bexley, including working at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup. Joanne has lived in Bexley all her life and is passionate about improving health services for local people.
