Elizabeth joined NCT in the role of Senior Policy Adviser in 2009, following 11 years working for the International Confederation of Midwives, and other posts in journalism and publishing.

Her long-established involvement with maternity services has included working with midwives at the Iolanthe Midwifery Trust and representation of users at the RCOG. Elizabeth writes regularly in the midwifery press and is on the editorial boards of both the MIDIRS Midwifery Digest and Midwifery: an international journal.
