Kevin joined Kent County Council in 2001, and twelve months later joined its Cabinet with responsibilities for the Resources portfolio.

Since 2008 he has been Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development.

He is a board member of Locate in Kent and Visit Kent, the county’s tourism agency.

At the LGA, Kevin has been a member of the Safer Communities Board and the member panel negotiating the national local
government pay award. He now sits on the Urban Commission and the Economy & Transport Board looking at national
regeneration and growth programmes.
