Ian is a late entrant into the world of education.

His former career embraced the retail industry and included senior and national roles in operational; distribution; project and buying management.

Within five years of entering the teaching profession he became a Deputy Head Teacher in a challenging Leeds inner-city school before moving to the South West.

He has always sought to bring his experience of industry into his teaching and has a real passion for an education that prepares young people for work.

In addition to his school-based work, he is Facilitator on Leadership Pathways for the National College.
