Kate joined Vitae in 2006 as the Vitae Midlands Hub Manager based at the University of Warwick. Kate is committed to enhancing the quality and output of the research base in the United Kingdom, through supporting the training and development of the next generation of world-class researchers.

Kate worked with a team from four midlands universities to design and develop a programme of support for part-time researchers which has been adopted by universities across the UK. The project also included a research element looking at the views of part-time PhD researchers and their experiences of completing a PhD on a part-time basis.
