Phil Barnett
Phil is an LSIS associate who has delivered and developed a wide range of LSIS safeguarding and equality staff development programmes.
With a senior background in further and adult education, Phil was the first equality and diversity director for the Learning and Skills Council and the Director of Policy and communications for the Commission for Racial Equality.
Working as an independent consultant since 2002, Phil has delivered staff development programmes throughout the learning and skills sector. He is the author of a number of groundbreaking research reports including “Managing the interface: sexual orientation and faith” pub LLUK in 2010 and “Succession planning and racial equality” in 2008, pub CEL.
He has a particular interest in the connections between safeguarding and equality and diversity.
