Vivienne Parry OBE, UKDPC Commissioner
A scientist by training, Vivienne Parry is a prolific writer and broadcaster. She contributes to the Times, Guardian, Mail on Sunday and presents many science and technology programmes on radio and television.
She works extensively across government, particularly with the Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Scientist at the Department of Health.
She majored in immunology and genetics at UCL and today is the Vice Chairman of Council of this university. She is a member of the Council of the MRC. She is on the board of the Science Media Centre and the Cheltenham Science Festival.
Vivienne has presented Tomorrow’s World, been a reporter for Panorama and a columnist for the News of the World. She also worked with the Princess of Wales for 12 years.
