Sonja Stockton
Sonja has over 20 years’ experience in emergent talent recruitment and development. As Director of Talent Acquisition for PwC, Sonja led the Talent Acquisition Centre of Expertise and was responsible for the strategic direction of the student and graduate recruitment campaigns for over 1500 hires into the organisation. As well as emergent talent, Sonja has also been responsible for emergent leader development programmes and the design and delivery of Apprentice Recruitment and Development across multi stream entry routes. As Director for Talent Acquisition for PwC, she also the led strategy for Experienced Hire and Executive Search.
She set up graduate recruitment for the firm in the Middle East and in the UK designed the campaign and led the team that won the number 1 position of Top Graduate Employers for the High Fliers survey for over 6 years, now in its 9th year as the No1 Employer in the UK. She has won awards for design and delivery of Employability Programmes, attraction and marketing campaigns on campus and has been a judge of many awards in the industry. A strategic thinker and influencer of policy, Sonja has also sat on many boards including the Government’s employability Group, HEFCE Strategic Skills and Enterprise Council and was a Board Member and Vice President for over ten years at the Association of Graduate Recruiters setting up the Development Training programme for recruiters and the Development Conference.
As an ex Assistant Head Teacher, Sonja retains her passion for developing emergent talent and is a Board Director for Bright Futures, the organisation that runs the network of Campus and School Societies to drive student employability .Sonja has spoken at global conferences on emergent talent recruitment and development programmes and now at Alexander Mann Solutions, she leads the Global Emergent Talent Consulting Practice helping employers identify strategic approaches to emergent talent recruitment and development from school and apprentice through to Graduate and emergent leader programmes.
