Seth Fleet joined the Higher Education Funding Council for England in 2008 as an analyst working in the Analytical Services Group. His work has been primarily in the area of widening participation and he is currently responsible for HEFCE’s ongoing work on young participation in higher education. This work led to the recent publication of the POLAR3 classification. Currently he is working on updating and understanding the most recent trends in young participation.

In addition Seth has completed studies into the participation in, and HE progression rates of, Aimhigher funded activities including the summer school programme and the Aimhigher Associates scheme.
