John Adlam is Consultant Adult Psychotherapist with South London and Maudsley Forensic Services and Principal Adult Psychotherapist with the SW London and St George’s Adult Eating Disorders Service.

He was formerly Principal Adult Psychotherapist with the Outreach Service of the Henderson Hospital Democratic Therapeutic Community. He is a member of the Psychosocial Studies Network Steering Group and was formerly Vice-President of the International Association for Forensic Psychotherapy. He provides freelance supervision and consultation to a range of teams working with homeless people. Alongside Christopher Scanlon he has published widely on themes of homelessness and social exclusion.
