John McNamara
John has extensive experience researching, analysing and forecasting the internationalisation of education. John has previously worked as an economist with Enterprise Ireland in Dublin and the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem) in London.
More recently, 2008-2011, John worked for the Economist Intelligence Unit in London as a senior economist in the EMEA Custom Research team where he managed the education portfolio. This involved designing, managing and delivering custom research projects for clients such as the British Council & Pearson.
Since setting up McNamara Economic Research in October 2011, John has delivered international education projects for the British Council, Open University UK and Education in Ireland.
John has a BA Economics from University College Dublin and an MSc Economics from National University of Ireland, Galway.
