Simon is Head of Academic Relations and Services at Emerald Group Publishing. He has been at Emerald for 11 years and spent most of that time as a journal publisher, responsible for Accounting and Finance titles.

More recently he has managed Emerald’s strategic relationships, and is currently responsible for its awards schemes and surround services to its customers. He has wide experience of journal acquisitions, research performance evaluation and delivering author workshops, where he has presented more than sixty times in a dozen countries.

Simon has Masters degrees in Philosophy and International Business, and has published on the subject research impact in terms of national research assessment exercises, the academic-practitioner divide and e-learning.
