Dr Ann Brown obtained her doctorate from City University in 2005, based on her work into the problems and potential of Information Systems applications to create Business Value for organisations.

She is the editor of the Electronic Journal of Business Research Methods (EJBRM). Her current research interests include IS exploitation by organisations, research methods for business and Teaching & Learning. She has taught a range of business subjects including QM, Information Technology for Business, management, business strategy on all types of Cass courses. From this work comes her interest in researching the potential value of using innovative teaching methods with new technology in business education.
