Christopher Palermo
Mr Palermo has 25 years’ experience in IP acquisition for computer technology and concentrates his work on software patents, trademarks, and technology development agreements. He is a Silicon Valley native with experience as in-house counsel and in advising C-level executives in IP development and management. His clients range from start-ups to multinational public companies.
Beyond patent drafting for software inventions, he works on claim risk analysis and opinions; pre-litigation advice/design-around; patent acquisitions; forming and chairing patent review committees; negotiating agreements; and handling trademark disputes before the USPTO.
He is a US registered patent attorney and is admitted to practice in California and the District of Columbia. He is a Foreign Member of CIPA. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts in 1986 from Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles) and earned the Juris Doctor in 1989 from University of California, Hastings College of the Law (San Francisco).
