Jon took up the post of Director of Engagement - West at MLA at the beginning of 2009, and he oversees MLA's work in the West Midlands and South West, as well as sitting on MLA's Executive Board.

Before that Jon had been Chief Executive of MLA West Midlands and Head of Policy at MLA North West, and has been integral to the development of MLA's regional and local government policy in recent years. Jon started his career in the museums sector, spending 10 years working in a number of organisations culminating in senior roles in the museum services of Lincolnshire and Bolton.

Jon sits on the cross-cultural agency groupings in both the SW and WM, and took over as Chair of the West Midlands group in January 2009. He also currently chairs the Cultural Olympiad Task and Finish Group in the South West and sits on the region's 2012 Executive Group. He was also recently co-opted onto the Board of South West Tourism.
