Albert joined JLIS in 2004 following a 15-year career in the NHS where he held a number of roles across all aspects of facilities management. During his NHS career Albert was responsible for engineering commissioning, capital design and project management.

Albert’s first role within JLIS was as General Manager for NHS LIFT Projects, a programme to build and manage 47 healthcare facilities ranging from small GP surgeries to large healthcare centres offering GP, physiotherapy, counselling, pharmacy and a wide variety of other services to local communities.

Albert was responsible for the management of the LIFT programme from Financial Close, mobilisation and then the operation of the healthcare facilities across six regions. .

In 2006 Albert became Head of JLIS Northern Operations and took on the additional responsibilities of the Cleveland Training Centre, a specialist training centre, designed to meet the firearms training needs of Cleveland and Durham Police Authorities and the Greater Manchester Police Projects.

He also played a vital role in supporting JLIS new projects in the north including Roseberry Park, a new 312-bed hospital with a secure mental health unit and the North East Fire and Rescue project that has delivered five new fire stations.

As JLIS Development Direct, Albert has taken on the responsibility of London Borough of Hounslow portfolio in terms of the five-million-pound capital works programme, and the lifecycle management of a diverse range of buildings ranging from Grade One to 1960s buildings. Albert’s responsibilities also include identifying new opportunities for the London Borough of Hounslow to seek to improve the potential and the impact of their library and historical assets.
