Robert Anderson is Head of the Living Conditions and Quality of Life Unit at the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound). This is an EU agency charged to provide information for policy-making, specifically at EU level. His current research activities include:
- Company initiatives for workers with care responsibilities for disabled children or adults
- Active inclusion for young people with disabilities or health problems
- Measures for social inclusion of the elderly
- Monitoring quality of life in Europe – Analysis of the data from the 2007 European Quality of Life Survey

He is also the current President of Eurocarers.
