Chief Executive, Crossroads

Anne Roberts has been Chief Executive of Crossroads Care Association since 2003 having originally become involved as a manager of a local scheme, returning to Crossroads Care in 2002 after working with a number of other voluntary organisations in a range of senior management roles. The Association is the umbrella organisation that supports the Crossroads Care network of local organisations that deliver over 4 million hours of care each year to 36,000 Carers and their families throughout much of England and Wales.

The Association works at a national level in England and Wales and Anne currently represents Crossroads Care on the Inter-departmental Programme Board set up by the Department of Health to oversee the implementation of the Carers Strategy. Anne was appointed to the Standing Commission on Carers in 2009, is a trustee of the Voluntary Organisations Disability Group and was awarded an OBE for services to carers in the 2010 New Year’s Honours List.
