Tricia Kilsby
Policy Lead for Culture, Third and Private Sectors, Audit Commission
Tricia joined the Audit Commission in 2006 as a member of the team that develops policy and strategy for the Commission's work with Local Government. Key parts of her role are ensuring that current thinking, national and local policies feed into Commission’s work and that findings from studies, inspection and audit are shared to support improvement.
Before joining the Commission, Tricia worked at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport on local government finance, white papers, comprehensive spending reviews, the performance framework for local government and Local Public Service Agreements (LPSAs). She also worked at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister developing and negotiating Local Area Agreements (LAAs). Her early career included working as a teacher, community worker and in culture, sport and environmental services. At IDeA she worked on best value, accessible services and generic approaches to equality and diversity.
