Andrew Chiffers
Andrew Chiffers, Principal, Farleigh Further Education College
Andrew started FFEC in September 2000 with 11 students. The character of the college is a fair reflection of his professional experiences and philosophy. He has spent the majority of his career teaching young people with learning and/or behavioural difficulties in a mainstream setting. He was a SENCO in a comprehensive school, before becoming a Manager of Learning Support in a mainstream college of Further Education.
Andrew joined the Farleigh group of schools in 1998 to set up a Post-16 provision. The group had identified the need for this when they found difficulty in arranging suitable transition venues for leavers of their schools. The Farleigh group became part of the Priory group in 2003.
