Lucy Moore has been CEO at Whipps Cross University Hospital for the last five years. During that time she has contributed as a leader beyond Whipps Cross to develop a health economy clinical strategy in partnership with commissioners and other acute providers. This has set a trajectory for Foundation Status for Whipps Cross. It also reflects an integrated approach with primary care and has resulted in clinicians leading the development of clinical pathways with a joint aim of improving the patients experience, supporting demand management and reducing cost and waste.

Underpinning this Lucy has developed clinical leadership within the hospital so that clinicians are leading both the development of the Trusts clinical strategy, operational change and service redesign. The Trust has been through a significant clinical redesign programme and financial turnaround. At the same time the Trust has improved its record on patient safety and reduced mortality rates.

Lucy trained in medicine and practiced in paediatrics and public health before taking on a number of roles within education, research, commissioning and policy within the NHS.
