Diplomas sit at the heart of the Government’s drive to reform 14-19 education. With the first Diploma students now into their second term questions are being asked about Diploma delivery, where the qualification will lead to, and what type of students are taking them up. 12,000 students are currently enrolled in the Diploma programme, significantly fewer than initial and then revised predictions, some of whom will begin their applications to higher education institutions in the coming year. This conference was an important opportunity for all those involved with the education of 14-19 year olds, including key decision makers from schools, colleges, training providers, higher education, local authorities and employers to hear the latest developments and strategies to shape future Diploma delivery.
